Don McAdoo Construction was founded in Kingston in 1949 by Donald McAdoo Senior. The company built mainly residential construction and some light commercial construction. In 1960 Don's son, Sandy (also known as Don), joined the company completing his apprenticeship and receiving his Carpenter qualifications from Ontario Institute of Trades in Toronto. The company continued to build many single and semi-detached homes and small apartments as well as doing renovations in the Kingston area.

In 1972, after his father’s death, Sandy started his own limited company continuing the same type of construction. In 1980, Sandy moved the company to the Perth area where the business has built a variety of custom homes, cottages and renovations as well as light commercial.

The third generation entered the business in 1995, when Sandy’s son, Sean, completed a three year Construction Engineering Technology course from George Brown College in Toronto. Sean is Vice-President of Don McAdoo Construction Limited and is responsible for the day to day running of the company.

Sandy is a past president of the Greater Kingston Home Builders Association and was one of the founders of the Lanark Leeds Home Builders Association and served as its first President. In 1999, Sean served as president of the Lanark Leeds Home Builders Association as well.

Our company joined the Ontario New Home Warranty Program, now called Tarion, in June of 1976 and has maintained an excellent rating with the program. We were a Tarion Award of Excellence Finalist for 2010. Our company is a member in good standing with the Perth Chamber of Commerce. In 2006, the Ontario Home Builder’s Association nominated one of our houses as one of three in the category of Most Outstanding Custom Home under 2500 sq. ft.

- One lot on the Rideau Ferry Road, Oak Street.

We will build on owner’s lot in Perth and surrounding area.
